Galician Cooking Workshop + Market
Galician Cooking Workshop+ Market Shopping
When booking, you can choose between two options. Both start at Rúa Alfredo Vicenti in La Coruña and you'll learn all of the secrets of Galician gastronomy. Below, you'll see the two options:
Cooking Workshop(2 hours)
We'll meet at 12:30 pm and get down to work. After learning about the ingredients we'll use, we'll start following the chef's instructions to get the most out of the Galician food we'll be cooking.
During the cooking class, the chef will tell us all about the traditions and customs linked to these typical dishes. You'll be able to make popular recipes such as scallops, paella with squid and cockles, mollusks with ham, and, of course, the famous Santiago cake.
Once we have prepared all the dishes, we'll sit at the table and taste all the delights of Galician cuisine. Bon Appetit!
Cooking Workshop+ Market Shopping (3 hours)
At 11:30 am we'll meet at Pencil & Fork and head to the market in Lugo Square, one of the most traditional gastronomic places in La Coruña. We'll explore different stalls and see a wide variety of seafood and fish straight from the sea.
We'll also see the stalls selling meat, fruit, and vegetables, and we'll choose the right ingredients to make our dishes.
After shopping, we'll go directly to the kitchen to learn how to prepare traditional Galician recipes. Then we'll sit down together to enjoy the fruits of our labor.
